POLICIES

 

The undersigned hereby acknowledges receipt of the following list of conditions in which M.S. River Rouge agrees to provide cruise and catering services at the request of the undersigned. The undersigned hereby agrees to these conditions.

1.DEPOSIT: To confirm your reservation a 50% deposit of the total amount owing is required within) (7) days of your booking. Deposits are non-refundable, however transferable towards another available date in the same year of the scheduled event.

2.PAYMENT: Balance of account is due at our office no later than (2) business days prior to the date of your event, balance must be paid by either CASH, CERTIFIED CHEQUE, MONEY ORDER, DEBIT OR CREDIT CARD. Personal cheques will not be accepted.

3.FOOD & BEVERAGE PRICES: Prices quoted are subject to change due to market conditions. Prices will be guaranteed only (14) days prior to the function date. All ship catering services for both food and beverage must be provided by the M.S. River Rouge. No outside food or beverage is permitted on board the ship at any time, unless authorized in advance by River Rouge Management in writing. Wedding & Birthday cakes are an exception pending a service fee of $25.00

4.ADDITIONAL FOOD & BEVERAGE: In the event of a “drop in last minute guests” attending your function, or if you wish to order more food and/ or any other items of services at the very last minute, M.S. River Rouge is authorized to charge the ‘client’ accordingly for any additional items ordered, even though these items may have not been previously signed for on the contract.

5.MENU: When chartering the ship, one menu item selection is usually made for the entire group, however if you require an alternate selection for a few of your guests, we can make provisions provided we are granted sufficient notice.

6.GUARANTEE OF ATTENDANCE: An estimated number of guest must be made (72) hours prior to the function date and confirmed (48) hours beforehand. The final number you confirm is what you will be charged for or the actual number served, whichever is larger. M.S. River Rouge may serve a substitute menu if your numbers go beyond the guaranteed figure; this menu item may result in a slight delay being served to your guests.

7.STORAGE: Our office must be notified in advance prior to any items being delivered onboard the ship; any/all articles or belongings can only be stored onboard the ship up to (12) hours before your scheduled event. M.S. River Rouge will not be held responsible, nor will we assume any liability towards any lost, stolen or damaged items or personal property onboard our ship prior to and after the completion of the event.

8.DAMAGES: Any damages caused to the property of the M.S. River Rouge, whether it be on shore or aboard our ship, the undersigned will automatically be charged for the cost of repairs or replacement of damaged goods and/ or properties. The owners of this vessel assume no responsibility for damage beyond that of Canada Shipping Act.

9.MUSIC: No outside music service providers are permitted to supply DJ services aboard the M.S. River Rouge, our in-house DJ service providers are Roadshow Sound & Lite and Midnight Sound, no exception to this policy will be considered, unless you’re preferred DJ service provider signs a waiver accepting any/ all responsibility towards the potential costs associated to any damaged equipment. In the event that an exception has been agreed to by our office, no equipment aside from lap tops, mixing boards, cd players and microphones are permitted onboard the ship. An applicable rental fee will apply in the amount of $300.00 to your invoice, for the use of our in-house Sound and Lightshow.

10.INSPECTION AND SECURITY CHECKS: M.S. River Rouge reserves the right to inspect any/ all personal articles, scan with a security wand and/ or request the removal of jackets, shoes, etc. If under any suspicion whatsoever, due to either potential misconduct or prior incident onboard the ship, M.S. River Rouge reserves the right at our discretion to refuse any person or persons aboard at any time. Duffel bags and knapsacks are not permitted onboard the ship unless special permission has been granted by our office, and/ or the Captain. These items may be subject to inspection by our Captain/ crew prior to the boarding of the ship. Everyone that boards our ship must carry Photo I.D. with him or her. M.S. River Rouge reserves the right to ask for this identification at any time before and during the course of the cruise. For the purpose of security, advertising and or promotion, the use of surveillance may be utilized before, during and after the cruise. Passengers are not permitted to bring alcohol beverages or weapons of any description aboard. Offenders may be prosecuted under section 167-A of the Manitoba Liquor control act.

11.PROVINCIAL LAWS: All Provincial laws governing the purchase and consumption of food and beverage will be strictly observed. Absolutely no food or beverages are to be brought on or off the ship at any time.

12.ADVERTISING: Any advertising/ promotion being prepared by the undersigned for the sole purpose of utilizing the M.S. River Rouge Name or Logo, must have prior written consent and authorization by the management of the M.S. River Rouge prior to its use.

13.RESPONSIBILITY: Any/ all charges that would apply towards collection fees, NSF charges, and/ or legal court costs that may be incurred; will automatically be the responsibility of the undersigned, and or the company/ business name in which he or she represents.

14.DECK CHARTERS: The promenade deck which is the circular area surrounding the exterior of the entire ship is a common area, it is open space to everyone aboard the ship, however; when chartering either the upper/ lower deck or VIP room, all public passengers on the ship will be informed to stay in their designated common areas of the ship in which are available to everyone. Cruise time is calculated from the time of boarding.

15.ACTS OF GOD AND NATURE: M.S. River Rouge will not be held responsible for delays or cancellations of the cruise or function aboard our ship due to mechanical breakdown of equipment, high waters, strong winds, heavy rains, and any sudden climatic conditions in which the Captain may feel it to be hazardous for both the ship and passengers to sail. The Captains decision is Final. The liability of the M.S. River Rouge shall be strictly limited to the amount paid pursuant to this agreement, in the event of cancellation due to any of the reasons listed above, M.S. River Rouge will agree to return the amount of the deposit, or re-schedule another available date in order to honour the event. The undersigned and the establishment he/she represents waive all claims of any kind.
